Conn-Selmer announcement

Performance and education have always been given equal weight in my career. My focus as of late, has been a quest to address various concerns in music education while maintaining a robust performance schedule. To that end, I’ve dedicated my work to focus on community engagement in both rural and urban areas.

I now find myself with a unique opportunity to partner with Bach and Con Selmer to not only focus on this work, but to work with my peers to develop an instrument that reflects the broad range of style and genres within the Americas while working with our youth in urban and rural communities.

With that, I’m proud to announce that I’ll be joining the Conn-Selmer team! I’d like to thank Mark Dulin, Gavin Brehm and Andy Lott for presenting the opportunity. I’d also be remised if I did not give a shout out to my Yamaha family who has been there for me for years. I thank them for their grace and understanding as I move into this new venture.

My mantra has always been this… “Don’t go where the work is being done! Go where the work needs to be done!” I’m looking forward to working with my brothers Rashawn Ross, Melvin Jones, Lee Hogans and so many others.

Lastly, this move is dedicated to William Fielder, who played Bach instruments his entire career. Stay tuned for more developments that will honor Prof and his deep and rich legacy! “Never satisfied only gratified! Always moving onward and upward!
